The Bible has been given to us from God so that we can know God and how we
should live. God desires a personal relationship with us through Jesus Christ.
In order to have that relationship God has given us the Holy Spirit and His
Word (cf. 2 Peter 1:3-4). As we read and study the Word of God the Holy Spirit
begins to work on our character by transforming our attitudes and behavior. As
our behavior patterns are changed we will see a new lifestyle emerge.
Therefore, the victorious Christian life begins with the study of the Word of
God. There are many way to study the Bible. There are excellent sources of
Bible study software and other techniques. But the most effective way to study
the Bible is by the Inductive Method. When the components of the inductive
method are understood and practiced then the Word of God begins to have
significant personal meaning and gives direction to how we should live.
